Loved the property, area was good and within 10-15 minute walk to most attractions, public transport is excellent. Only concern was the room size so be sure to check before booking. As a non-German speaker, this was a super easy and welcoming hotel. It has more hostel vibes (the check in is at the bar, offer for a free drink in lieu of room cleaning) but the rooms are totally luxurious. I got a canal facing room and highly recommend it.

Terrific location! Walkable to so many of the things you want to see & experience in Hamburg Central. Also walkable (25mins) to Central Train Station. Room was modern, clean, efficient. Shower was the best - hot water immediately & good size. Bar & staff were incredible. Bar is 24/7 with snacks late, so no matter when you check in (at the bar downstairs ) staff is there to great you & you can have a good pause & a drink after. Bed & pillows are on the firm side, but cozy & don’t prevent a good night’s sleep. Really well done. Everything is guest centric & you want for nothing. Highly recommend! Would go back in a minute!
