The hotel itself is very clean and in great condition. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and i felt took the extra effort to help you. However, no fault to the hotel itself, the location between the hotel and the 10min walk to Hamburg Central Station can be sketchy. I would suggest only doing in daylight and being congnizant of your surroundings. The hotel had great security.

Nice, but everything other than the room is pricey

Nice enough hotel, room was fresh and staff were friendly. Breakfast is (in German tradition, I guess) incredibly expensive. There's a Lidl in the next block though. The parking garage is one-way only and splits once you get in. If you pick the wrong direction and don't find a spot you need to exit, drive around the block (which is really inconvenient because of the current roadworks) and enter again. Parking costs 30 EUR per day.

A great hotel stay

Great hotel - practically brand new so very fresh and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. Got some great tips for what to do and see in Hamburg from the reception team. Good location only 10 min walk from Hamburg central station and a couple of minutes walk from Berliner Tor U-Bahn station so it’s well connected.

The room was one of the best designed I have been in. The lighting is amazing . The bathroom is large and easy to use. There is a lot of natural light from large windows. Lots of storage and a great use of clothes hooks. There are wonderful bakeries nearby and a full supermarket nearby.

Welcoming staff, bad location

Very beautiful hotel with a nice breakfast/bar/restaurant and welcoming staff. Unfortunately it was let down by a room that wasn’t cleaned properly (reception did offer compensation though) but most significant was that the hotel is located in a very unpleasant neighbourhood - Situated only 1 km east of the main train station, but from the hotel to the train station the streets were full of homeless people, junkies and drunks. We will not visit again (not the hotels fault, but because of the neighbourhood).

Nice, clean property. Close to transit and middle eastern food options. The A/C in our room was not working and even with a visit from maintenance it was not fixed. We were offered a different room but was more of a hassle to change rooms with one night remaining in our booking. Overall a good stay. Note that the hotel restaurant menu is not up to date on the website.

Hotel itself is good, new hotel in perfect location (just 5 mins walk to Central train station and bus terminal). But the area downstairs heading to the train station are having quite a lot drug abusers, they didn’t do anything on me but still not feeling very comfortable to walk through them. The other side to Berliner Tor station is perfectly fine. Recommend to stay in this hotel but be aware if you walk towards the direction of central station at night alone.

Summary: Great property with professional and wonderful staff. Checkout wasn't as smooth as the other interactions, but being able to reserve a taxi for an airport transfer in the small hours of the morning took away a lot of stress. The location is close to public transport points or is walkable for most of the points of interest for a short break in Hamburg. Room: - Good size for the price - No slippers or dressing gown, which don't seem to be provided in German hotels - Slow charge usb ports available - Smart TV with YouTube, no netflix, casting or other streaming services - Basic kettle with instant coffee Bathroom: - Basic washing amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body gel) - No body lotion - Hair dryer - No rainfall showerhead - Consistent water temperature - Doorless design of the shower almost guarantees a medium to high level of water escaping Hotel amenities - Very basic gym, consisting of a few cardio machines, two benches and free weights - Free to use sauna
