Food was excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty, evening meals were very good.
Bathroom we were in was a little cramped and the floor tiles were cracked and broken.
Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so.
Would definitely go back if we were in the area.
Lovely property with a stunning view from the beer garden. Room overlooked a stunning view, breakfast was top quality, only downside was the bath didn’t seem to hold hot water temperature very well so had to get a shower.
Great place. The guy at check in was brilliant. Had salmon and king scallops for tea and was beautiful. The Missus enjoyed her fish n chips. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we’ve had and the lady got us in early cos we had somewhere to go. Couldn’t do enough for us. Will go again 100%
Really good menu for decent food & drinks. Comfortable room had character. Decent breakfast selection too. The number of disabled parking spaces needs increasing & a hotel workers van was blocking them causing problems for lunchtime OAP's.

Some good, some okay
Had a fabulous meal at dinner, but even though we booked a deluxe room it wasn’t top notch. A bit tired in places, the bathroom door was difficult to close and the shower wasn’t the best. Probably wouldn’t stay overnight again, but would go back for dinner in a flash!
Booked on the spur of the moment, and so glad we did. A nice warm welcome, a lovely restful clean room with en suite shower, superb haddock and chips for dinner for an extra £20 for two (Tuesday to Thursday evenings), and a full English breakfast with lovely sausages. What more could anyone want? We really loved our stay, and wouldn't think twice about a return visit.
Massive free car park
Check in by the bar for all information given.

Evening meal was awesome
Good choices and good value
The location is set in beautiful countryside with lots of nice walks close by.
Would definitely stay again but would like to try a different room.
The staff are friendly and helpful, i understand that it was an extremely busy evening in the restaurant, my meal was warm but despite being offered a replacement when eventually I got a waitress attention, my appetite had diminished. The room, although nicely furnished was on the bijou side. The en suite was too small and made it uncomfortable when trying to sit on the toilet with your face too close to the wall and a shelf above the sink is never a good idea which then made the mirror too high for the shorter adult. Breakfast was enjoyable but maybe an offering of fresh fruit would have been nice.
The Fleece inn, was a little hidden gem. Was a great pub that was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. They food was very nice and very good value. All the staff were very friendly. I would for sure
Go back!
Very pleasant rural small hotel in beautiful country location. Room very comfortable and clean. Food excellent. Thoroughly recommended for short stays. Great views from large terrace also.
