My daughter and I had a great experience at the Red George, as it is less than a 5 min walk to the Halifax Harbor where all the fun is ! The owners were very quick at getting back to us on any questions or information needed. They were accommodating and helpful, and genuinely cared that out trip was a great experience. The room was clean and supplied all the essentials, and the building in general is a very charming. I look forward to staying there again and trying a different suite for variety. The unique boutique rooms at this spot are lovely and the location was just amazing. Tristan was extremely helpful with questions we had about parking... picked up our call quickly. Way better than a hotel stay. We would definitely stay here again.

After a stressful checkout at our airport hotel cost us precious sightseeing time on our final day, Red George was an absolute lifesaver. Our host, Lane, went above and beyond by arranging an early check-in so we could drop off our luggage and park our rental car for the day—a huge relief given how challenging Halifax parking can be. ​Thanks to its incredible location, we completely turned our day around. We easily walked to both the Pier 21 Immigration Museum and the Maritime Museum at opposite ends of the waterfront, and even popped back to the room for a quick power nap before dinner on the pier. The room was extremely comfortable, the location was unbeatable, and Lane's hospitality made all the difference. Thank you, Lane, for going the extra mile!

The property is an 1862 three level townhouse in downtown Halifax. It is only a short two block walk to the restaurants at Bishops Landing, the Halifax harbour boardwalk, and one block to the Keith's Brewery Market. There isn't an elevator but this wasn't an issue for us 70+ seniors Our room was on the third floor. The room was tidy, nicely decorated and comfortable; however, there was a strong scent of cleaning detergent (javex) in the bathroom. As well, the sheets and towels were highly fragranced. If you are scent sensitive, this might not be the place to stay. The owners were quick to respond. We would stay there again for location if not for the scent issue.

This was a wonderful stay! The owners are incredibly helpful and fast to respond. They have created a beautiful space in a convenient location of Halifax. It was so easy to walk around the town and I always felt safe! They also created a website with recommendations, suggestions and information which was so incredibly helpful! We tried a few spots they recommended and they were great. I highly recommend this place to everyone! If we come back to Halifax we will stay here again!!!!

This is one super sweet getaway! Beautifully curated one bedroom suite, with convenient amenities such as microwave & mini fridge (much appreciated for road-tripping folks like ourselves). Decor is gorgeous and exactly as pictured online with thoughtful touches (beautiful wine glasses, drip coffee press, with complimentary coffee, fluffy towels). Felt very pampered! Reco: be sure to check the sign in instructions ahead of time (parking etc). Wifi was a bit spotty on route (driving & all), so it was a bit of a scramble when we arrived (us issue!). Parking spaces were full, but a quick call to Lane (support/owners) solved this issue immediately with an alternative lot. We were in unit #1 that had no AC (bit humid), but fans were onsite so cooled it down properly. Also a quick call to Lane to inquire about AC, prompted an offer to switch to a unit with AC that was unoccupied as a solution. We decided to stay put, but it sure was nice to have this offered:) Centrally located, brief walk to the Boardwalk. So it ticked all the boxes for us. Highly recommend!

We were very happy with our stay at Red George Inn. The staff was extremely helpful with providing information on parking and arrival. The unit was clean and spacious and lived up to the description. With a living room, kitchen area and bedroom and 1&1/2 bathrooms. We slept well and felt secure. There are plenty of restaurants , shopping and sights just outside the door. I would recommend this accommodation and plan to stay again.

I got the Appartement at the basement and it was a disappointment. The rooms are dark, the WiFi is spotty, and there is constant noise from both the fridge and from the upstairs neighbors (only when they move). The location is excellent and the owners are helptful but the apartment is an old matter. All in all it’s a clean place, the beding at the time of my stay didn’t smell fresh. Worse yet, the parking situation is genuinely stressful. While it’s challenging to find spots in downtown, I got a note from the other parking spot (provided by the owners) on my windshield warning that my car would be towed. This kind of stress and unreliability ruined the experience.

Excellent value for money! Self check-in smooth as silk. The managers very responsive and helpful by phone and text. Convenient parking included. Governor’s Suite is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Has the cozy feel of an old inn amid the excitement of a growing and vibrant downtown Halifax. Will stay again!
