We’ve been staying at this hotel for 20+years, under various ownerships. It’s perfect for our needs and reasonable in price. They need a little upgrade in the bathroom with slow drains and chipped tub, but those are minor details when compared to the other amenities.

Nice hotel decorated with lots of vintage finery. Staff was nice and offered us tea and coffee and hot chocolate. The elevator is small…I felt like I was wearing it as a parka, but the stairs were lovely! Carpets and chandeliers everywhere. The neighbourhood was a quieter residential area. Our room was nice and had a little kitchenette. My family liked it a lot.

We had real value for money here. Nice to see that this 50-year-old property is being used and looked after. Everything I expect in basic accommodation was here : clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. My room looked onto the roadside parking lot but the back has trees and greenery. The location is conveniently near highways. FWIW there are supermarkets nearby, big ones, and a walk by the water not too far away. I felt welcome, I was charged fairly and I would come back again.

The rooms had hardwood floors which felt much cleaner than the usual carpet ones. Rooms were spacious. The vintage of the hotel had a nice atmosphere. Parking lot is small and the area around the hotel is a little cramped with other apartments.

I like that the property was very close to the offramp for the highway which made it easy to check-in after entering Dartmouth. I didn't have any bad experiences but the hotel is located across the street from a run down apartment complex that looked pretty sketchy. I would stay there again though because the staff was very friendly and helpful and it was convenient and cost efficient for my business trip!

The room was adequate but nothing special. Broken floor boards, dripping bath faucet, lumpy ridges in bed. Thankfully we had two beds or it would have been uncomfortable to share. Had to clean up a couple dead bugs on the floor of our room. Fitness facility was outdated and random assortment of equipment, but we were able to get a sweat on.
