We absolutely loved our stay here. The property and room was even more stunning in person than from the photos. The area was quiet and easy to access with a 711 right across the street. The highlight was the foot bath and private onsen in the room with a view of the lake and Mount Fuji.

Fantastic location and the private onsen was amazing. Staying at the lake did limit dining options (great for lunches, not so great for dinners), but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Only complain is that one of the a/c unit wasn't working and it was stifling hot in this room, so my kids slept on the futons in the living room instead.

Very spacious unit (living area, fully-furrnished kitchen, laundry) with superb view over the Lake Ashinoko. Bonus was the sauna, view in-room onsen tub and outdoor grill (small size in North America standard). The overall experience was great!

The view of the lake from the room is extraordinary. It’s also very spacious, with a large balcony, kitchen and living room with a huge screen for viewing. The final plus is the in-room onsen/hot tub along with a sauna, with a view of the lake. It feels like a luxury unit for a reasonable price, especially if you have a large group. Wonderful place to stay and highly recommended.

Overall, we had a great stay at Rakuten Stay Fuji View Hakone, and would definitely recommend it.” The heated floors, tatami room, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, and projector for movies and music made the space feel cozy and thoughtful. The indoor and outdoor hot spring baths were a real highlight. The location is super convenient, close to the bus station, restaurants, and shops, which made everything easy. Check-in was smooth, and the instructions were clear enough that we didn’t need to contact the host. A couple of small things could be improved, though. We did notice some dog hair left behind, so a bit more attention to cleaning would make a big difference. We were also excited about the Mount Fuji view, but the trees blocked most of it from our floor. It would be helpful if the listing set clearer expectations about that. Even so, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and next time we come back to Japan, we’d love to stay longer and hopefully enjoy a better view.

Beautiful hotel and location! The in room onsen and foot bath with amazing views of the Hakone shrine were so worth it. They also provided snacks and drinks in the fridge. The 7-11 and bus stop within short walking distance were also convenient. The one wish I had for this hotel was a way to store your luggage or lockers on location, so that you could explore Hakone luggage-free earlier since check in is not until 3pm.

Room had everything we needed and was a perfect spot to stop and refresh ourselves after Tokyo. There were lots of thoughtful touches and amenities, the hot spring was perfect and the Fuji views were incredible. Lots of nice goodies in the fridge too and a good location to explore the Hakone area.

On a 5 star scale this apartment was a 10. Pinnacle of luxury with a true lake-front onsen and sauna, incredible views. They had thought of everything that we might need, including drinks and snacks. What an amazing property. Would love to stay here again and 100% highly recommend!

Very nice unit and big enough for two families with two separate bathrooms. The checkin process was a bit frustrating as the connection kept getting a busy signal and everyone had to be present and on screen to be verified. This was after we submitted all our passport details to the host. Very beautiful and scenic view of the lake, shrine and Mr Fuji.
