Staff were so attentive. Shared onsen was very serene, overlooking forest on the property. The private onsen in the room also very lovely. Highlight was the food. We had dinner and breakfast in the private room on the lower floor of the hotel. There were many thoughtful touches to the ambience of the room, including having a bluetooth speaker that you can use to play your own music during the meal. The food was incredible. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a very sweet waitress who made our dinner and breakfast really memorable

The ultimate form of r e l a x a t i o n Taking local trains to Hakone from Tokyo was relatively easy and well worth the trip for this incredible ryokan. The staff was unbelievable, the open air baths were delightful and peaceful, the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were both exquisite. I hope I get to come back some day!
