Spending a few days in and around Hakodate

Initially I wanted to go for a trip by car but I was too late to get both the air ticket and the rental car reservation as I wanted. So I went for a city trip to Hakodate on foot and by public transport. This is very well possible by the famous tramway and buses too.

お安い料金なのに、海側の部屋を用意して下さいました。嬉しかったです。窓越しに見える、津軽海峡　函館山が素晴らしいです。新しい設備では無いですけど。駐車場無料、防音もしっかりしていて、徒歩すぐそばに、回転寿司　とんかつ屋　ピザ屋　セブンイレブンが有って便利ですよ!

バスタブにお湯を張っても問題ないと書かれていましたので、お湯を張って入ろうと止水栓をしてしばらく待つもいつまで経ってもお湯が溜まらない。 結局止水栓のサイズが合っていないことが判明。 テレビも液晶に縦の線が入っていたり、使えるコンセントが一口しかなかったり、デッドスペースにあったり、夜中に廊下でスタッフの方がビニール袋をガサゴソ。 寝られないわ湯に浸かれないわで散々でした。

Easily to reach from the JR Station by taxi - cost was Y790 going Y630 returning to the station early Sunday morning. Had sea view which may have been nice but we were there during a typhoon so saw large waves. At ledge at the end of the hallway the inside window ledge was wet and just about perished but our room clean warm and dry. A 7-Eleven shop was about 250 metres from the hotel and very convenient. The men at the reception seemed helpful with limited English. The lift door was super fast so we had to be quick to get in and out.

「内地」の見える部屋

部屋から見える津軽海峡が最高。 津軽海峡の見える部屋のあるホテルは他にもあるだろうが、それらの大部分は温泉付きの豪華な高級リゾートホテルである。 気軽に泊まれるホテルでこれだけの景観が楽しめるホテルは多くないだろう。 市街地からはやや離れているが、函館の旧市街地自体がどこへでも徒歩で移動可能な規模だから僕は不便を感じなかった。 とにかく快適な滞在であった。

酒店在海邊，離車站遠，晚上比較黑暗和靜

酒店在海邊，離函館駅遠，要步行10分鐘以上，如果拖大型行李的話，大概需時15分鐘左右，如果坐市電也要步行一段距離才可乘搭，酒店附近除了海邊，就只有住、公園，沒有食店，沒有便利店，不太方便，酒店房間大，樓層也有洗衣機、乾衣機、飲品販賣機，因為本人預訂不到其他酒店，只是住了一個晚上，所以尚可接受。
