I stayed for four days. The bed was comfortable. Even as a single room, it was just the right size. I recommend getting a room with a view of Goryokaku Tower. Even if it costs a little extra, I definitely recommend choosing the option that includes breakfast.

I loved how clean it was and that the room actually looked like the photo shown on Expedia. No scuff marks and a good size room. Good breakfast mostly Japanese options and a few western but all very tasty. I thought the bathroom was very tight and having to step up into it was a little strange. Not ideal for a larger person or one with mobility issues. However I’m glad I have found this chain and I will definitely book with them again, great hotel!

Great hotel & experience

The front desk staff were extremely gracious & hospitable throughout our entire stay! They all spoke English very well. Rooms were clean, a/c worked very well, loved the area… felt safe, close to train stations, bus stops, street car stops, shopping mall, convenience stores, restaurants & sightseeing areas were a few minutes away. Will definitely stay here again!

Superb location with great amenities

Great location, easily accessible, walking distance to the Goryokaku Park & Tower, loads of dinner & snack options around the hotel. Many vending machines with lots of options in the hotel. Nice onsen on the 3rd floor. 1-day tram tickets available at the reception. Breakfast buffet is delicious with varied options and a good local spread.

ロケーションも良く景色も良かったです、 ただ古いホテルなのかバスルームから少し下水の匂いがしました。 お部屋の清掃もとてもきっちりしていて快適に過ごせました、あえて言えば手拭き用のタオル以外にフェイスタオルもあれば良かったです。 また機会があれば利用したいと思います

建物は古いが清潔感は有る。朝食のレベルは函館のビジネスホテルではレベルが非常に高い。また価格的に大浴場があるのは有り難い。函館に宿泊する際は一番目に法華倶楽部の価格と空き状況を確認している。朝市付近のホテルは夜中から大型車の騒音と振動がひどいケースが有るが五稜郭はその様なこともなく眠れる　総合的に選択候補としている
