Beautiful location. Gluten free eating at the restaurant was well accomodated. Convenient to get to all locations on Haida Gwaii.

It is located on a scenic site between the beautiful Tlell River and the Hecate Strait, with access to great hiking sites. The beds are comfortable and the food is excellent.

Very nice accommodation, awesome comfortable beds. Early in the season so still a little short staffed, but not inconvenient. Beautiful breakfast included with the rate. Dinner menu was excellent.

Good restaurant, higher end not budget. Room needed another bedside table, more counter space and / or another suitcase holder. Room was extremely hot despite the thermostat being off and the outside temperature being 12-18 degrees. Nice that the window opened with a large screen. Clean, but small and sparse for the price.

Beautiful location next to the idyllic river. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Big problem was the lack of a Hotel Restaurant for dinner for two of the three nights we stayed. Very limited alternative places to eat on Haida Gwaii and nowhere nearby.

Haida house seems designed and managed to embrace the spirit of haidi Gwaii. There are varied opportunities to explore the culture and history of the area and staff and keen to advise on what to explore and /or experience and just share their love of Haida Gwaii in general.

Sensational restaurant open for breakfast every day and dinner only 5 days a week. Alternative restaurants 40 km away. Very helpfull and pleasant staff. Nice, rustic decor. Rooms are basic, not in line with the rest of property. Beautiful suraroundings and acces to the beach.

Haida House is simply superlative. The quiet private setting on a reach of land backed by the Tlell river and fronted by a vast expanse of the Hecate Straight can’t be beat. The cabins are new and profoundly beautiful, built in the style of a longhouse. I will note that the cabins would be even better if they were equipped for guests to do some of their own cooking and food preparation. Would love to see this upgrade in the future. Complementary breakfast was great - they even had sunny side up eggs available in the fresh breakfast buffet. Dinner in the restaurant was one of my best ever. Truly astounding, especially in such a special place, far removed from the bustle of the world. I couldn’t recommend the Haida House more highly.

Buildings and grounds were very nice but there were three empty cans beside the deck and a jar of cigarette butts on the deck. Shower was kind of dirty. Nobody there at check in. They advertised free breakfast, but there was none. They said they wouldn't clean our rooms, but then they did. Worst of all, half an hour before check out a staff member came on our deck, past our enormous windows, without knocking, to check the PH levels of the hot tub, or something! We did not have our privacy respected

Beautiful facilities, but communication was lacking. We were not informed that the restaurant would not be open during our stay. As the facility is relatively isolated -- which was an attractive aspect -- know when and where meals are available is essential. Staff on site were very polite and helpful, but someone should have let us know when we arrived. We hope that the new management will address the communications issue, and wish Haida House all the best. If/when the restaurant is open, the location is great.
