Our stay at Flamingo Cát Bà was disappointing and far below expectations. While the location and ocean views are beautiful, poor communication and inconsistent management overshadowed the entire experience.
We received conflicting information from staff regarding early check-in and breakfast. We were led to believe an early check-in around 8:00 AM would be available, but that was not the case. We were also told breakfast was included, only to later be informed there would be an additional charge. The issue was never the cost—it was the lack of clear and consistent communication.
The three buildings appear to be managed differently, creating confusion and inconsistent service. We extended our stay by one night, and what should have been a simple process became unnecessarily frustrating. The bathroom in our room also appeared to have a design flaw that caused water to leak onto the floor.
Most disappointing was management’s response. Rather than making us feel heard, our concerns were met mostly with explanations and excuses. Good hospitality starts with listening.
We were seriously considering purchasing a two-bedroom, two-bathroom ocean-view unit, but this experience quickly changed our minds. The property has tremendous potential, but management and customer service need significant improvement.
