It’s a lovely old pub with great pub food. Rooms upstairs were all full might nice and quiet.

The pub rooms had been renovated. Excellent. Shared facilities were excellent. Only one minor point got in the shower this morning got all wet and then found that the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. Otherwise everything was excellent

Lovely remnants of its art deco heyday. I had a spacious king single room which has been nicely refurbished. Simple, clean, very comfortable bed. Shared bathroom was spotless though at night you'll contend with insect life. Shower was a bit of a run around job then came good. Nice shower gel provided. Air con was a blessing since I arrived after driving through the heatwave! If stay again. Good value for money and staff are friendly and helpful. Suits self- reliant travellers.

I’ve stayed at the Criterion 3 times over the last 12 months or so. Its a good country Art Deco era pub. Unfortunately the male toilet stinks because of a leaking pipe which hasn’t been fixed since my first stay. The problem is exasperated by the fact that there is only one male toilet and not even a urinal. Other than that, it’s a good pub!
