Location was actually good with Beijin Road and Nantou museum in sight of room. MTR was slightly too far 15 mins walk. Swimming pool looked good but sadly didn’t use.

This hotel is renew, but the condition is old building. Some room ac cold some room hot. If you call DIdi you can not find Canton hotel you have to find North entrance Guangzhou hotel.

I booked not knowing that it was very new (started operations on 30th March 2026 per front desk). I booked 2 separate booking as I stayed for 1 night upon arrival in Guangzhou and left for Guilin and returned to hotel to stay another 2 nights. The 1st stay we were assigned rooms in the centre, aircon was cool enough. The 2nd stay we were assigned corner rooms and these were bad as the aircon was not strong enough so the room felt very stuffy. The seating area is in a hidden corner so there is practically no ventilation since it’s behind a pillar. Guangzhou summers are so warm even we who are used to 30+ degrees temperatures felt like we were baking. Overall hotel is nice but location is a distance from Beijing road, you will have to walk the back of the building through a carpark if you want a shortcut to Beijing rd. And I was unable to find the hotel name on Amap, turns out you have to search using the Chinese name.

This is a newly renovated hotel that we understnd reopened in Mar 26. Hence all the Hotels.com poor reviews (rating less than 8) prior to that date are absolutely irrelevant. We wish that Hotels.com would remove these reviews as we almost did not book the hotel based on the said reviews. We went to a competitor's site which had more recent reviews before proceeding with our review. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and super helpful when we found out that the 'advertised' pool on the Hotels.com website had yet to be comissionned! Our interaction with Hotels.com was not conclusive as they try to absolve themselves of any blame for allowing the hotel to show within the 'swimmimng pool filter and expected us to read the fine print to find out that the pool was indeed not available during our stay. Of course Hotels.com did not consider that as 'false' advertising of a swimming pool that in reality was not available and the hotel should not have been captured in our 'swimmimg pool' availibitity criteria. We had a lovely stay at the hotel which was at the northern end of Beijing Rd and would stay there again, pool or no pool, if we visit Guanzhou in the future.
