We had stayed at La Villa del Ensuenos 23 years ago and loved it then. Returning to Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque for the first time since then we loved it just as much this time. Beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast included in the price, helpful staff, great location, on and on. We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The place is nicely tucked away, and once inside, you feel like you're in another world. The vibrant colors, the art, the plants are all so lovely and make us feel like we are far from the city. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is also amazing and we hope to visit again soon! Thank you for the lovely and welcoming stay, La Villa Del Ensueno.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely and unique property. It is an old building with lots of charm. Also lots of stairs. The pool nearest our room was closed for maintenance. But we enjoyed the main pool. Breakfast was very nice, cooked to order and served with fruit, yogurt, granola. Location first impression was that it was a bit funky but we found it was only a short walk to the charming heart of Tlaquepaque. It was rainy season and they had plenty of umbrellas. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated that the front desk arranged driver's for us to head into Guadalajara and back to the airport.

This was our first stay at this property, and we spent two nights in the main compound. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again and gladly recommend this charming hotel to family and friends. The staff clearly take pride in the hotel and do an excellent job maintaining the property. Breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options available from the menu. We also discovered a pleasant 10-minute walk to the town center (Florida Street to Cruz Verde to Independencia). The route follows quiet streets and leads to numerous galleries, restaurants, and shops. We did not have a chance to use the free drinks from the bar or the pool, simply because we were busy exploring the area, but everything else about our stay exceeded expectations.

This might be the most interesting hotel I've ever stayed at in Mexico. The grounds were stunningly beautiful. The courtyard and colors and the art hanging on the walls made it feel like a really special place. The staff was amazing too. We had a free welcome drink and breakfast included, and everything was great. A big storm came and knocked the power out for an hour but the staff was so great and it added to the experience (there's nothing the hotel could have done differently to change the power situation). It was very kid friendly and welcoming to families. We were so happy there and didn't want to leave! We chose this location because it is closer to GDL airport and it made the trip to the airport very easy (20 minutes) the next morning, but Tlaquepaque is a great area to take a walk around in and discover the beautiful old architecture. We will come back!
