Very good value for the room price. Staff was helpful with busses and boat questions. I got a handicap room, not what I thought I'd booked, but it was fine. Loved my view of the lake.

Wonderful location to explore Lake Como

Great location beside the water in Griante with views across to Bellagio. For 20 euro take C10 bus along lakefront to Como town bus terminus, then slow ferry along Lake Como to Bellagio, then car ferry back to Griante / Cadenabba for a full day explore very cheaply.

Great view of Lake Garda from the hotel, can see straight across to Vareena and Bellagio. Hotel is short walk from ferry stop Cadenabbia, which was great for visiting the nearby towns. Very well located. Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I booked a room with a balcony through Expedia, but upon arrival, we were told we couldn’t have it because we were staying only one night. The receptionist explained that those rooms are reserved for guests with longer stays. Additionally, the hotel is clearly short-staffed. Only one person seemed to be handling everything, and she prioritized her own convenience over guests’ experience. For example, although there are lovely outdoor tables with amazing views for breakfast, she refused to let us sit outside, saying it was too difficult for her to serve both inside and outside tables. The only positives were a clean bed and bathroom, which is why I gave 2 stars. Overall, very disappointing.

Simple, charming, and quiet spot in Grianfe, walkable from Tremezzo. Lovely charm! It took a one hour train travel by bus but we had such a good time! Breakfast is simple but it was very nice to have it with the rate.

Good Location

This family-owned hotel was exceptionally clean. The pictures are exactly what you get. (It is time to replace the beds) The bathrooms are updated and extremely clean as are the rooms. The location was great for taking the ferries. Breakfast everyday was good. Owners were very helpful when giving advice as to where to go/eat/shop.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, it's a bit older, but the rooms are good and the bathroom very big and with a window which can be opened. Our room had windows with lake view. But noisy at night as we were on the first floor and the road in front is quite busy, but after a while you get used to it.

Lake Como hotel

One night stay as I toured the region by motorcycle. Opted for a single room. Room I had was for guests needing assistance or disabled. This was on third floor which I found interesting if lift is out of action for any reason. Room was a little small but bathroom was huge. Staff were very friendly, very welcoming and very polite. Hotel is on main road but has fabulous views of the lake. The restaurant joined on is not part of the hotel I was told but the food was very good indeed. A nice stay and nice people to be around. Good car park and lovely views from most rooms.

Perfect for Solo travelers

The Hotel isn't the most luxurious high end hotel, but the amenities are just fine for a person who is traveling alone, if you are visiting Lake Como there is a 98% chance that you wont be on the hotel until night to sleep. The included breakfast is great and less than 20 meters from the hotel you have a bus stop and about 200 meters you have the Ferry Station that connects to the rest of the towns around lake como. The staff is super friendly and helpful plus they speak English. You also have a mini market less than 50 meters from the hotel where you can get the bus tickets and anything else you may need. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it!

Très bon emplacement mais route passante

Prix du séjour imbattable étant donné la position de l'hotel: 5 mn à pied du ferry pour visiter Bellagio, Varenna...le prix à payer est le bruit de la route nationale, malgré un double vitrage. Un plateau de courtoisie et des fruits frais au petit déjeuner seraient appréciables.

Hotel Rivera is on a quiet avenue just in front of the lake. At the corner the bus takes you to Lake Como in about 50 minutes which is great. They have a continental breakfast. The hotel is very close to Villa Del Balbianello!!
