“Beautiful property in the grounds of Greystoke Castle. Idyllic. The hostess was very welcoming and showed us round the room. Everything is well thought out, even provided a torch to use if you are out late. Welcome fruit and water in the fridge in the room and an extensive choice of hot drinks available to make. Fresh milk available in the room too. Very comfortable stay and wide choice of food for breakfast all freshly prepared.”

“The greeting we got on arrival was extremely good, lovely lady who runs The Troutbeck Inn. Great evening meal also, definitely stay again. Thank you .”

“I so want this place to succeed! It’s in the most picturesque village, but needs some TLC after a string of management changes. New team comes in August. The bedrooms are clean, small, very comfortable and well designed. Current staff are lovely, but they’re leaving in 2 weeks.”

“Really clean and well presented hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and hotel was well laid out. Excellent gym and pool and the food was fantastic both at breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately no EV charging and dogs were allowed in the restaurant (a family were actually feeding their dog at breakfast!). These are minor issues for a really nice hotel however.”

“VISITED THIS PROPERTY SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS BUT HAVE NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO STAY UNTIL NOW. WASNT DISSAPPOINTED EVERTHING FROM THE ROOM, BAR, FOOD INCLUDING BREAKFAST AND OF CORSE THE STAFF. THE ONLY NEGATIVES WERE LIMITED PARKING AND NO ROOM SAFE.”
