Loved the area - sea-scapes were awesome. Our evening meal was very well presented and very tasty. Was not happy to find several long black hairs in our unit, on bed and in bathroom. Also the heated towel rail was loose.

Our room was quite dated and there were cracks in tiles and in the shower tray, unless you are very short you would find it hard to wash your hair in the shower as shower heads were extremely low. Hannah at the front reception has impeccable customer service. All in all a pleasant experience

Absolutely beautiful location tucked into a lush verdant hillside over a beautiful beach with some pancake rocks visible as well. Dinner was delicious ( best meal of the trip so far) and the breakfast was varied with lots of fresh fruits as well as yogurt, cereal, toast with many topping choices, and a cooked-to-order breakfast of eggs, meats, etc. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pancake Rocks trail was a 5 min drive. The room had a porch over the ocean and a cute porthole looking out towards the forest. The reception area was cozy with couches, a fire, and all glass windows looking out over the beach. It was quite chilly outside in late September but we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we ever have the chance to come back to NZ!

We had a lovely stay and were very impressed with the room. It was spacious, luxurious and beautifully furnished, with a balcony and wonderful sea views. The room was definitely a highlight of our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant on Sunday evening. We were a bit disappointed. Breakfast the following morning was much better, with a good selection of fresh and nicely presented options. The cooked breakfast was 10/10. The receptionist was fantastic, very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The beautiful room, sea views and excellent service at reception made it a very pleasant experience.
