Third stay at the “Inn on the Square” and they didn’t disappoint. I look forward to staying at the local hotel that gives Greenwood vibe. My room was clean and I get a good nights sleep. The bed is so comfortable and breakfast was affordable and also pretty good. After my week working and traveling, the jacuzzi tub hit just right for the good nights sleep.

The hotel is in a good location on hwy 20 and right at the end of the uptown district. It’s an older property but very well maintained. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I did not like was the breakfast buffet : it cost $10 and was not very good. Otherwise I will def stay here again.

Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Hotel was nice. Bartender was great. A wedding had the hotel entirely booked up and we were kept up all night with their loud and boisterous antics. We thought it would have settled down after the police cleared the brawl that ensued but it resumed shortly after. I finally went to the front desk at 3 AM to tell them that we had had zero sleep and people were still yelling in the hallway. I attempted to call but the found the phone to be a paperweight as it wasn’t even connected. May be a great stay with minimal occupancy but would not recommend if it’s booked heavily.

The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable king bed. Puzzlingly, aside from a small office-style chair for the computer desk, there was no other chair or couch in the room. The only place to sit was on the bed. There were some signs of less-than-careful maintenance. For example, our room door was mis-mounted at an angle in the door frame, which meant that there was a gap between the door and the outside hallway at the top, and the bottom corner of the door scraped across the floor, making the door hard to close.

Wonderful property! Our only concern was a noisy a/c unit. All of the staff were so polite and helpful! We ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings. The food and the service were excellent! We ate a light dinner at The Fox and Hound Lounge in the hotel on our first night. Great food, adult beverages and service.

The location is perfect for Greenwood BUT pay attention to when you book. If there is an event there, be aware it will be loud. There was a graduation party on an outdoor area AND a band in the restaurant/bar. We could clearly hear both in our room until late. We prefer nice quiet, relaxing hotels after working all day. The room was okay for comfort but it was hard to relax with the amount of base and noise from the music.

I love the uniqueness of this Hotel. It is historic and right in the middle of uptown, close to restaurants and a coffee shop and wine bar. Yes it was immaculate, but the very BEST part of staying at The Inn on the Square is the staff. They have been extremely helpful and accommodating to our family. With a student Athlete at Lander, it has been a home away from home for us.
