It met my needs-'clean, quiet and comfortable with an old wprld charm. It would've been nice to have had a list of local restaurants, grocery, etc in the room along woth a mini fridge. The clerk was friendly and explained the procedure to get in/out when no one was available
We had a lovely stay. Next time I’ll book a bigger room. Loved the pictures. The staff was so nice. Like staying with family.
Hope next time the bar and restaurant will be up and running.
Staying in the historic Sherman Inn in December was completely delightful, and a light snowfall this morning only added to the Christmas charm! Our room was sparkling clean, as was the bathroom. Simple, elegant decor, with wonderful black and white vintage photographs of Batesville throughout the inn. We enjoyed walking through the town, seeing all the beautiful old red brick architecture and twinkling lights.
This is a very old hotel that has been renovated. You can tell because the sprinkler system pipes are seen overhead. That leads to the unique charm of it however.
Good enough, super cute! I was safe and comfortable

Location for us was good. Walking distance for meals.
Was very disappointed the website did not indicate the beir garden was closed. Number one reason we booked it.
Wonderful historic property in small town Batesville , Indiana. This is rural America at its best in many ways. I can only hope the new owners of the hotel will succeed with plans to reopen the restaurant. It should a very fine culinary experience with an accent on German-American cuisine and more. A marvelous old hotel that has been made into a unique boutique hotel. There was a slight misunderstanding with my reservation and the manager owned the problem and went out of his way to correct it to more than my satisfaction. I would stay there again, and probably will.
