It’s a beautiful lodge. Fantastic food. Very happy with our stay.
Room was uncomfortable in July with no AC and only a tiny window fan. No TV in room. Difficult to sleep. Otherwise quiet and pretty surroundings.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Belle vieille maison, chambres spacieuses. Très beau lac juste devant avec une belle petite plage. Le Déjeuner est inclus… mais ça manque un peu de variété. Un petit effort de plus et ça serait vraiment bien
The property is old and quirky which we enjoyed.
There is lovely scenery and enjoyable walks on the doorstep.
Food in the restaurant was good although options were limited as it was the last evening before a seasonal closure.
The property itself is nice and pretty, setting by a lake.
However, they changed our room type from two beds to one bed.
When we checked in, there are no bath amenities, and bathroom trash was not cleaned. The cold water faucet also didn’t work.
Room key was not given to us either, so when we left the room we were not able to come back.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Beautiful place, friendly staff, Covid aware.
Bed in Smith suite was very uncomfortable, mattress needs to be changed.

We are already looking forward to returning!
Elsa and Chad are the best! :) They are the new managers of Highland Lodge, and they could not be more delightful! Caspian Lake is terrific (mere steps away), and the lodge provides all manner of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and more. There is tennis and walking trails and every activity you and your family could want!
In the evenings, enjoy a specialty cocktail on the porch that overlooks the lake and watch the sunset. Or enjoy one of the nightly food truck options (Sunday - Tuesday) or a delicious dinner on the lawn or wander to one of the nearby "food mecca options" including the famous Cabot Creamery, microbrewery, gastropubs and more! We can't wait to return!
