Rustic, but very cute and clean. The temperature in the room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean had everything we needed. The area was quiet and it looked like the common areas and restaurants were more updated and had a nice fire pit. We stayed just one night on the way to a soccer game in Petoskey.

Staff leaves at 5 pm. So when my shower did not work in the morning, I was left without. Rooms were old and small, matterress was pretty uncomfortable. The grounds were amazing, staff was friendly. But the place is in some desperate need of some major TLC. The rooms were pleasant enough. Wide open campus, plenty to walk and see. Restaurants closed on Mondays. It was about as safe as you could ever feel. I may give it another try. I am not sure.

Stayed at the Otsego Resort for a weekend. We arrived late in the evening and the office was a bit confusing to find. Our room was well maintained although there was issues with lighting in the room. Saturday evening the power flashed multiple times. Overall it was a good experience but the place could use a few updates.

Travelers should beware that Otsego Resort's front desk closes early, like 5 pm, even in the summer. I and my family were arriving late, so I called ahead, before 5 pm, to let them know of my late arrival. I had to leave a message, and no one called me back. When we arrived a little before 10 pm the doors were locked and the lights off. We had to find accomodations elsewhere. When I called the next day, the attendant at the front desk apologized profusely and promised to give me a refund. There was a problem with my card, but she persisted until I did get a refund. I give her 5 stars, but for travelers who might be arriving late it's best to seek lodging elsewhere.
