I called the number I found for it on Google, and a harassed sounding woman said I should have received a message telling me how to get in. (I had received many messages from Expedia claiming to be from the hotel, but all were blank. This is almost certainly a problem with Expedia, not the hotel itself.) She came...

“Lovely Grade 2 building so the rooms are slightly quirky, but that is its charm. Do not expect crisp clean lines and perfectly level floors, but be prepared for a place you can comfortably relax into.”

“When I booked for myself and grandson six ,I wasn't made aware that our "hotel room" was just a block of rooms at the bottom of a road near the entrance. These were unmanned and the key had to be collected from the main reception. This is no easy fete when there's a very steep long hill to walk up to reception. I was told our room was ready,we went down to it,expecting staff to meet us. None were there. So I and my little grandson had to walk back up to reception with a suitcase and rucksacks...

“Filthy room. Dead bugs on the dirty carpet, even found human nails in our room. We complained, got a refund and left straight away. Staff were apologetic and helpful though, even seemed to agree that the family garden view rooms were not up to scratch. Single glazed bedroom windows. Hallways in need of cleaning and redecorating. No lift. Awful. Do not waste your money.”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”
