Beautiful hotel. We attended a wedding reception there. It was lovely and the staff were kind and helpful. Our room was on the 11th floor. It was on the small side, but the bed and pillows were comfortable.

We love the hotel. However, we did arrive to our room to find wet sunflower seed shells in our shower, on tile in bathroom and on the carpet of the walkway. When our luggage arrived the bellboy was so kind and helpful and found someone from environmental services to tend to the matter and clean while we left the room. It was so bizarre to walk into. Unsure how that was overlooked and did have us guessing if the rest of the room was thoroughly cleaned.

The amway Hotel Downtown Grand Rapids,MI was really nice,nice rooms with a refrigerator,but (NO MICROWAVE)nice and big indoor pool and hot tub,decent size gym next to the pool on the 4th floor in the glass tower.however everything is very expensive.they have tons of shops and restaurants inside the hotel.great customer service,housekeeping was great!Valet service is $49.00,but it was worth it,valet guys are hard working crew,(they all share the tips)or $45.00 do it yourself in a garage.

If you are there when everything inside the hotel has opened, you don't have to leave! They have bars, restaurants, and duckpin bowling. Even if you don't have a reservation for MDRD, try for seats at the bar. Dessert and a drink is worth it!

Dinner at The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck was excellent. The ambiance of the Lumber Barons bar was great. Rooms were huge with two beds and two bathrooms. About the only negative is that the two bathrooms are too small and both have bathtubs posing a fall hazard. Sinks are too wide for the toilet also. Otherwise a great place to stay.
