Great communal kitchen, met some great people! No stores for miles and miles! Beautifully secluded!
Cozy, clean, peaceful. Booked a weekend to do some fishing, we didn’t purchase a guide service but the staff was still incredibly friendly and helpful.
Beautiful location, Jessica and Bob were very helpful and friendly. Common areas (kitchen, bbcue, deck etc) were very well equipped.
Perfect launching point for our boundary waters camping trip.

Jessica was very responsive and friendly. The room was clean. Kitchen facilities were great. Was extremely disappointed to see that the hot tub was covered up with a sign that said for private use only, as the hot tub was a major draw in booking the stay.
This is a quaint property near the end of the GunFlint Trail near the Boundry Waters. The rooms have their own mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. On the lake side is a huge deck overlooking the lake with cushioned seats and BBQ. There is a fully furnished community kitchen and game room.TV, fireplace, games and books for guest use. There is a fire pit on the lower level. It isn't fancy but very affordale and comfortable. Well worth the drive. Bring your own groceries, no close shopping.
Ive never met a nicer group of people. We had a group of 8 and we all stayed in the large room, plenty of room. The establishment was clean and the hospitality was top notch! It was the most fun ive had in a long time! We will definitely be back!
My partner and I stayed two nights with our 1 year old pup and had a great time. The roads up the Gunflint were well plowed and the hosts gave us instructions for an easy self check-in.
The room was affordable, clean, the bed was comfortable, and the upstairs shared kitchen/community space has a large deck overlooking the lake.
Hosts were great with communication.
The staff was great and very helpful!! The rooms were very clean but could have been a little bigger and have a chair to sit down. We were not a fan of the bunk beds.
We arrived around 9PM and didn't know the check-in procedure. I called the host, Jennifer, who lives on site and she was very helpful. The Lodge looked really nice and the setting was right on the lake but since we arrived late and, we only had time to sleep and check out the next morning. We look forward to booking Sag Lodge again in the future so that we can spend more quality time there.
My wife and I stayed at the Saganaga Lodge on an extended weekend to do some hiking and canoeing. We arrived after dark with some rain and check in was easy our room was warm and welcoming and larger than we expected. We had our breakfast and a couple of dinners in the dining/commons area. Price was reasonable and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We will probably return. The lodge is next to a boat launch area so it was easy to launch our canoe. Very comfortable accommodations when temperatures were in the 30's and 40's F.
Booked through Hotels.com and the “Special Instructions” were misleading. They said we’d get a confirmation email to fill out. Nothing ever came. The grade I gave for “Service” was because I couldn’t get anyone to answer Saganaga Lodge’s phone. That’s the bad. Now the good. Drove to the lodge and had no problem figuring out which rooms were ours. The rooms were very clean , as was the common kitchen/TV area. We only stayed the one night, but I found it to be comfortable, affordable and very scenic. I’d stay there again.
Clean, very friendly manager, kitchen was fully furnished, canoes to use, free firewood. Rooms could be a little bigger but was fine for our first trip
