The staff were amazing and very helpful especially with my son who has severe learning disabilities and is nonverbal. They accommodated each and every request for him which made such a difference for us. Such a welcoming and inclusive hotel and staff. The team at the Palm Court restaurant for breakfast and dinner were beyond brilliant - managing our timings and needs for him on demand. 10000% brilliant, cannot wait to come back! The staff at Lux Grand Gaube go out of their way to accommodate you. They are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Food and drink choices are extensive and excellent quality, plenty of different dining options available, ice cream car and cocktail trucks are fun extras. Our room (Ocean suite) had great amenities with daily housekeeping and mini bar restocking. Balcony was top class, including double lounger, comfy chairs, bath and shower - views to die for. We visited the library on our last day and would have spent more time in there if we’d found it sooner. All in all a great all inclusive.

Not a great stay. Initial check in was not that attentive. They did not explain how things worked. Also the initial check in staff was not friendly which affected the first impressions. Some staff were brilliant but that was after the issues and more of a proactive approach. The resort is beautiful but the staff and cleansiness of the rooms let it down massively. There was also no acknowledgement of my issues on check out. So much potential to improve the customer service as well as bringing the hotel to the 21st century and then actually make it feel like a 5 star hotel as it currently feels more like a 4 star hotel.

We’ve stayed at dozens of luxury hotels all over the world, and the Lux Grand Gaube is up there towards the very top of the list. The hotel design is jawdroppingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant is 1st class- excellent variety and quality of dining options. Plenty of tasty veggie food. The live cooking stations are at the top of their game. The beach is spotless, plenty of spaces to relax, clear water, plenty of water activities are included.

My stay at LUX* Grand Gaube has truly exceeded all expectations. The staff are exceptional, especially the team on the beach who go above and beyond to make your experience special. It’s the thoughtful details—like cool boxes placed by your sunbed and having it set up for you—that really make a difference. The food has been outstanding across the board, from the à la carte restaurants to the buffet, which offers so much more than a typical buffet experience. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed the variety of water sports available. A fantastic holiday all around!

One of the best places on Mauritius

The staff was superb. Every need was met without question and with joyful attitude. Property was beautiful and lots of activities available. The buffet had many options with excellent chefs.

A fantastic hotel for those looking for somewhere to relax and switch off the decor of the hotel is beautiful and the staff cannot do enough for you. Food was great with a varied choice our favourite being Bodrum Blue restaurant you definitely need to do at least half board as nowhere near to eat. Lots of activities going on especially those who like water sports would definitely recommend this hotel for those wanting a resort based holiday it’s position on the Island is 90 mins from most activities and the airport hopefully will be back again
