It’s the Grand Canyon…absolutely spectacular. Yavapei is 1950s adequate. No real complaints, but very dated. Food hall not open and hostess snarky. All other staff delightful. Clearly suffering from lack of staff in many areas, but bus runs were great. We LOVED the canyon.

We had a good experience at this hotel. I was a little worried about not being right on the rim as I really wanted to watch the sunset and sunrise but this was not a problem at all - several viewpoints are within a few minutes driving distance. I can’t remember if we stayed in the west or east wing, but it was definitely not the wing that’s been remodeled. The room was nice, comfy beds, but the bathroom needed help! Honestly it didn’t bother me but my son complained (teenagers!). It was a great convenient hotel even though it wasn’t right on the rim. It is very magical being right inside the park, I highly recommend!

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff I encountered were friendly and accommodating. Close to a number of amenities and inside the park, so convenient to the visitors center, Mather Point and other sites. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to the Grand Canyon. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Yavapai West for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to the shuttle and the parking is right outside your room. The room is clean, quiet, and comfortable.
