The hotel was fine. Of course the location was the selling point however the lack of parking made it not so enjoyable. There’s no reserved parking for just the hotel guests so anyone at the Grand Canyon can park at the hotels parking lot. Therefore we were stuck circling the lot any time we left the hotel and since many of the restaurants were closed we had to leave often.

This property is right on the canyon and gives you all day access to the site outside your window. Rooms are decent and clean, better than the small beds at other higher priced options in the park. Dinner was actually very good even though the COVID delays are everywhere. Hopefully that will clear up soon and you can enjoy the outdoors. We did not where masks everywhere, only inside as needed.

My big complaint has nothing to do w the hotel, but with the area. Almost no meal choices. At 2:30 when we wanted lunch, only one restaurant was open. About a 10 minute walk, which was ok, but it was just cafeteria style food, which was not very good. Later, at dinner, the only restaurant there had a 2 hour wait so we were forced to just grab some sandwiches from the hotel store.

The proximity of the lodge to the Grand Canyon made it all worthwhile. We paid over $350 for a room for one night and this seemed too expensive.
