Great place to stay. Beautiful views and easy transportation along the rim. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by water issues in the park which suspended overnight stays.

For me, the best part was walking out the door and being right there to look out the Grand Canyon. But we also made that to be a great experience was the staff at the hotel room and all around the Grand Canyon everybody there was just extremely nice and helpful. And the rooms were very clean and they were nice rooms. I have no complaints. I had the best stay ever.

We enjoyed our stay at the Thunderbird Lodge for the primary reason that it was at the rim of the Grand Canyon. We were able to have a nice dinner and breakfast at El Tovar dining room and at Bright Angel Lodge Bar. The room was basic but comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room along with the coffee maker. I would recommend this as an affordable option to stay at the canyon.

Great location in front of the Canyon with air conditioning and clean rooms. Check in and front desk is in another building and we had problems with our room keys so Check in was not smooth but other than that we loved our stay here.

Better than expected! Although this is a lodge and hits the mark for a national park hotel with the decor it does not feel run down or unkept. Amazing price and the rim is literally right outside. Sunset and sunrise were a ten foot walk.

We had a great stay at Thunderbird Lodge and absolutely loved the location. Staying right inside Grand Canyon National Park and being so close to the rim made the experience incredibly special and convenient. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. After a full day of exploring the Grand Canyon, it was wonderful to be able to come back to our room without having to drive far or leave the park. The location is definitely the highlight—you can step outside and be surrounded by some of the most incredible scenery imaginable. Being able to enjoy the Grand Canyon early in the morning and later in the evening, when things were a little quieter, made staying inside the park completely worthwhile. We really enjoyed our time at Thunderbird Lodge and would happily stay here again. If you’re visiting the Grand Canyon and want the convenience and experience of staying right inside the park, we would definitely recommend it!
