Love the property & amenities. The check in process was quite a disaster. We checked in online before and the room said it was ready, so we headed out of the Grand Canyon Park thinking we were heading to the room and to eat. When we arrived to the hotel, it was not ready and were told it would be 40 minutes. We had our bags all ready to get up to our room and head to the restaurant downstairs with hungry kids in tow. We checked our bags at the front desk and waited for a confirmation call (mind you we were given no call tag or anything to retrieve our bags- they just wrote down our last name and room number). 45 minutes later we got the call the room was ready & went to retrieve our bags. We were told by a man behind that without a call tag we would not be given our bags… after 30 minutes of arguing and trying to prove they were in fact our bags, the worker finally went to look for them. We were told we had to fill out an incident report. The hotel is completely at fault for miscommunication and complete inconvenience. We lose around an hour plus of our one night stay.
