Absolutely love this hotel. We always get the same room/suite so spacious with the balcony and rain shower and therapeutic bath. Great value for the price. Room was very clean. A lot of black debri came out of the hot tub when it self-cleaned after my bath which was a bit weird and gross but i suppose it can happen. Parking is spacious and esy access to hotel. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Super close to restaurants and stores and the zoo! Will go back! Annie

First and last time staying. Was surprised others suggested but perhaps exclusively due to prox to zoo. For the price especially, incredibly small cramped room, very old and bony mattress on pull out couch. They left a rollaway mattress in our room, perhaps knowing how bad the couch was, but unfortunately it was pretty painful too. There was barely room to open the mattress or couch and move around room. They say pool open June onwards, but mid June it was still empty so that was somewhat disappointing. The front desk staff were all young women who seemed like they didn't care at all about customer service or even basic pleasantries. I didn't even get asked how my stay was on leaving and that's probably for the best they didn't care. It would be nice if they told you housekeeping is on demand only, when we stayed for 3 nights and wondered why they kept skipping us. Bathroom seemed to have black mold spots on the bathtub silicone and there was a long hair on the bathroom counter on arrival. Games room in basement was quite basic, with some paid claw machines being the main attraction. Pro: good shower pressure, close to various stores and the zoo. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to borrow some utensils. Free parking. Found myself looking at the motel down the street for future zoo visits since its cheaper and this place gave motel vibes anyway.

This is our second visit at this hotel. We weren’t here long enough to use the amenities last fall, so we specifically booked this hotel again for our two young children to enjoy the pool. We booked through Expedia, which listed the seasonal pool open from June to September. Today is June 12 and the pool is bone dry. We were told it doesn’t open until the end of June, and while Expedia offered some minor compensation, the hotel refused to offer any sort of refund or hotel credit despite the misleading information online. None of the staff were particularly helpful nor compassionate towards our situation. Didn’t find the front-desk staff particularly helpful overall; as an aside, I overheard another guest ask for recommendations for restaurants in the area, and the front desk attendant pointed to the restaurant across the lobby and said there’s one here. That’s it, that’s all. While the room was clean and comfortable enough, the bathtub did not hold water which made bathing two young children extremely difficult. Pillows awful. The playground area is nice for older children. The ‘games room’ is laughable and should not be advertised with cartoon zoo animals that would draw children’s attention as there was nothing suitable in it for children under 12. We hope to make the Granby Zoo an annual family trip, and luckily because of our poor experience at this hotel, we found some great places to explore around Granby, but we will not be returning to this hotel again.

The property was amazing! Staff was friendly and very funny. The location is perfect for familys that want to head to the Zoo and head to the local mall. The only few negatives I have would be that the room isn't very sound proof and we could hear a lot from the other rooms.(Could be a perk if you rented out two rooms side by side) Second negative is that the pillows and bed were really uncomfortable but we could've just been unlucky. Overall! I loved the experience and I'm coming back here again if I ever need to come back to Granby. Thanks again to the wonderful staff!
