Very special experience, very close to wilderness without sacrificing on comfort, kept warm with fire place as well as electric heater through the night. I’ve hoped to catch stars however it was raining, hope to come back another time!
What a unique stay location 30 minutes away from Cradle Mountain and 15 minutes away from Sheffield. Our hosts were wonderful, the eco hut was cosily furnished and the continental breakfast was lovely and with meals available for dinner plus an honesty bar there was nothing to want for....great mountain views a friendly echidna and paddymelons hopping around not to mention the stars at night Wilder was a fantasic experience and we would highly recommend as a great place to stay.
Really beautiful place with unique experience! Very clean and boutique dorm with friendly hosts. Great thanks for the warm hospitality and the lovely cake. It was really a big touching surprise for my birthday.
Very peaceful and unique. The outdoor bath was perfect after a hike. Great spot for walkers, hikers or just to soak up peace and tranquility .
Beautiful location
Just magic. Sleeping in a cross between a kids playground equipment and an igloo.
Great fit out and lovely people. So quite so beautiful at the foot of Mount something in the middle of no where. Also a lovely lodge to hang out in and have your Continental breakfast. Cant wait to come back.
The domes were a unique accommodation experience. Having the availability of the fire was awesome as it was quite chilly at night. The view was beautiful - as you opened the drapes in the morning, the sun was shining and the mountains were there. Loved, loved!! The outside tub was fantastic. Guests can access the lodge at any time. Dave and Matt were awesome hosts and very accommodating in any/all our requests!! : ) Totally recommend this spot!
We had the pleasure of being the first guests here and it was honestly amazing. The peaceful area, the lodge, the domes. The lodge is majestic with the fairy lights in the evening! The domes are kitted out so you have all the pleasures of a hotel room, it was faultless. The view from the domes are stunning. Our host was extremely friendly and even gave us a bottle of wine on the house! The communication was perfect and they really cater to all of your needs. I'm already planning my next stay!
This accommodation is fresh and new with an historic lodge built by a well known local identity in the 'logging camp' architectural style. The views are lovely and the location is excellent for looking around a very scenic area of Tasmania. Hiking trails are very close. My suggestions would be to hook up the hot water to the sink in the bathroom and ad a second firelighter and a bit more wood so that the yurt/tent could be heated quickly in the morning. The heat pump was slow and eventually heated my head and shoulders while I was standing up in the coffee area of the tent. I would stay again but I would ask for a second firelighter and more wood.
Loved this unique accomodation my only regret was we had only booked for one night would love to have stayed longer. The host, Dave, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. He delivered a delicious cheese platter to our “dome” and we enjoyed it just looking at the beautiful view of the mountains. The domes are only a few months old so everything is practically brand new and the bathroom is gorgeous and spacious. Then theres the guest lodge where we were able to get a pre-prepared meal for dinner at a reasonable price and there were lots of gluten free options too. We ate our dinner in the lounge of the lodge and enjoyed the wood log fire. The bed was super comfy and the shower was devine, I wasn’t quite brave enough to use the outdoor bathtub but what a lovely touch and I enjoyed a cup of tea early in the morning just the mountains, the birds and me!! Magnificent!
Wilder was a lovely place to stay! The dome was so cosy and it was lovely to lie in bed with the fire going and a view of the mountains. It is a convenient location for accessing Cradle Mountain and other nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful and checked in to ensure I had everything I needed. The meals were tasty and quick and easy to heat up and there was excellent wine! I highly recommend a stay here.
Stunning location, the accomodation is quite magical. The outside bath was lovely and hot even though it was freezing cold during our stay. Owners are lovely people and super helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer. What an experience!
