No hot water in our room, until the following day. The TV wasn’t working for some unknown reason according to the staff. Breakfast was just ok and the food at the restaurant was fair. Would never go back. $10 credit A DAY for food and beverage was questioned by the staff and was told $10 for the stay.

My stay was good. The staff in the restaurant and the bar service were excellent. Although the town of Golfito was disappointing, the hotel was recommended by a friend.

Fantastic

This is just a wonderful place. The staff is so friendly and happy. This is our second time there and we will go back as often as we can and we recommend it all the time. Its a little slice of paradise in a secluded part of Costa Rice. The bay is beautiful. We hope to spend more time next year so we can explore the area more.

Great resort good service and clean.

It was Amazing ! Loved all the updates and cleanliness! Service around the pool is nice. The fun friendly atmosphere was great. Early check in was appreciated. We have stayed many times over the yrs. This time was excelent as I am disabled and new ramps out front helped immensely.

Please forgive me; her name escapes me at check in. She was so welcoming. The same with the staff at breakfast. They engaged in conversation with you were very helpful. The customer service at this hotel was extremely excellent. The staff are professional kind outgoing and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean and well laid out. If you choose not sight see you can spend a great day enjoying the pool and all the hotel has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This place looks as of it uses to be a big deal, today it is rather worn out, with a bit of a "paranormal movie" spirit - especially in the basement department, but also on the main floor. This is to some extent also the case for the resturant/pool area, where the sauna, some of the toilets and dressing rooms are in a sad state. The pool itself appeared nice, and the fitness as well. However many locals kids and families use the pool, meaning there is a lot of noise as the whole village is playing and partying here. The hotel fitness is also open to the locals and used as a regular gym, which means there I a lot of people, compared to a normal hotel gym. For me, this meant there was a lot of people, and too little personal space - also compared to my local fitness back home. The breakfast was okay.

Very large old property not well maintained. Low ceilings in hallways and passages, not ventilation, very little natural light. Halls are musty. Many beautiful areas, such as bars, old restaurant and lobby, no longer in use. We had double standard room. Water in shower lukewarm at best. Towels and bed linens good quality. Mattress ok, pillows lumpy and hard. Pool and breakfast areas are comfortable. Overall, disappointed in the facility. Would not stay here again.

Solid 3 star hotel that needs better maintenance.

Friendly and helpful staff. But the rooms need to be better maintained. We had to see 4 rooms because the first room had very poor wifi. The second room had no safe, the third had poor lighting and air conditioning. Finally, we chose the room with good wifi, near the reception area, good AC cooling, and the staff brought in two reading lamps and transferred a safe over from another room, but it wasn’t bolted in. Lastly, the TV was not a smart TV, so we couldn’t watch international news in English, and cable TV had only 4 English channels. Our bathroom sink had a leaky hot water faucet, so the staff merely shut it off at the bottom. It served the purpose when we needed hot water. The food was tasty, and service really good.

Everything was fine: nothing exceptional one way or another. The breakfast was great the day we arrived at 7 am but the day we showed up at 9, nothing had been replenished, food was cold etc. The staff at the restaurant soent more time socializing than busing tables or serving. The room was cleanz the beds were comfortable but the photos are deceiving - all the rooms with two beds are downstairs, which has 7 foot ceilings and zero natural light. My kids called the hallway the dungeon. There are some nice common areas throughout but nothing is used. There is a bar area in the basement that is reminiscent of some scene from The Shining. On check in the tv didn't work, we had no hot water and the fridge didn't work but maintenance staff were fadt and efficient, got everything working well. Overall, it's a nice spot but the hype sets the bar too high.
