We loved the stay, and the location was so peaceful and quiet. Although it seemed remote everything we needed was close by, a short drive. No WiFi (but maybe I didn't read the info properly when I booked :)) but we were able to hotspot so no biggy.

Song birds was great. Lots of wild life near our cabin, a nice big spa, fireplace and loved the heated towel rack A shame there restaurant is closed as it was brilliant when I went years ago

The villa was adorable and cosy, and the surrounding property was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. So peaceful. Staff were lovely and helpful. This will be the place we stay from now on. Highly recommend.

Songbirds review

The location of Songbirds is spectacular. You feel truly isolated and the scenery from the balcony is magnificent however we were let down by the cleanliness & facilities provided. The room was tidy but not clean with many cobwebs and piles of dust under the couch, the spa fittings were broken & the couch was badly stained so it had been turned over & a rug put over the stain. We found the lounge area to be impractical to watch the TV as the TV was very small with poor sound and the couch was very far away so the lay out could be more considered. As we stayed from a Sun to Wed the rooms aren't serviced on a Mon or Tues so we quickly ran out of essentials like toilet paper. There are no phones in the room to call reception and limited mobile reception so you have to attend reception to restock. We ordered a breakfast basket with gluten free option. This did not arrive. We were questioned about it several times when explaining we had not received it which I found uncomfortable - the administrative process should foolproof this not the guest. When given our basket the gluten free option was forgotten. Overall the accommodation is very reasonably priced. It was unfortunate we didn't get the opportunity to dine in the award winning restaurant (also closed on Mon & Tue) so you need to pre plan & have a car to get you around as there is nothing close by - however this adds to the charm. A little TLC & a good clean to the villa could potentially make the room amazing.

Must Visit Songbirds

Most amazing rainforest resort, however the service form the amazing staff just blew us away. This is a next level place to visit. Enjoy !!

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. Being in nature was just perfect. I really liked the resort concept and with some money invested, I think it would be amazing. Parts of the grounds are in need of repair, our spa only partially worked. The Nespresso maker was broken and overall the resort and grounds are in need of an upgrade. The food at the restaurant was excellent. I had the prawn pasta and it was divine. I feel that the menu could benefit by offering some less expensive, smaller entrees so we could try more items. Overall we really did enjoy the stay as was a perfect spot to unwind and listen to the birds and other wildlife.

This place is amazing, a little oasis. I loved the trees and the amount of wildlife. I got to sit on the balcony during the day and watch the birds at play and then fall asleep at night listening to the chorus of frogs! The chef in the restaurant is passionate about her food and it shows in the quality of the meals. I will definitley be back again!

Relaxing Getaway

Great getaway in a nice villa with lush greenery. Villa is comfortable with nice setup and the bonus of a balcony and spa bath. Cleanliness in the wardrobe can be better and perhaps the brooms and dust pan can be stored away from the bathrobes.

Set in the middle of a tropical rain forest. These cottages will not disappoint. Tranquil and peaceful surroundings. The perfect getaway from the hum and drum of the city life. By far the best cottages i have had the privilege of experiencing.
