Convenient stay in Mermaid Beach.

Spacious old fashioned but suited us fine. Everything we needed. Enjoyed balcony overlooking pool. Reception staff looked after us well. Short walk to Woolworth supermarket . Beach front just minutes away.

The diamond sands resort appears to be lovely. We entered our room & it smelt revolting. My children said it smelt like dogs had been living there. No heating either. I found 2small fan heaters. 1 didn't heat & the other rattled & wobbled around so it was impossible to use. Rather unsafe infact. It was extremely dissapointing. Wouldn't stay again.

Very friendly staff, close to cafes and resturants all within a 5-10 min walk. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. Some interior doors needed maintenance but only subtle. The pool is amazing and the staff are very accomodating

This is our second family stay at Diamond Sands and we will definately be staying here again for future family holidays. The staff are friendly and helpful. The unit and grounds are clean and inviting. The location is central to our needs with shops and the beach close by. The lagoon pool was a hit with the whole family.

Spacious and well resourced apartment - disappointed no air conditioning upstairs. Initial entry off the road was tricky due to lack of parking to sign in and a gated entry needing a code - this might be awkward during peak hours. Grounds appear to be well maintained and reception staff were friendly. Would have liked to have stayed more than one night in future if there was aircon in the bedrooms.

The hotel room was dirty, the beds had sand in them. The fridge had three legs and when we rang to alert them to the fact that the fridge was falling forward and on to us when we opened it, we were told that no one was coming up to fix it. The floor near the front door was floating and the tiles move as you walk on them. The $50 fee that you need to sign off on when you check in that stipulates that you need to remove ALL rubbish and wash and pack up any crockery you use SHOULD be advertised BEFORE you book and pay. The veranda and table outside was dirty. The shower was horrific and hurt when standing underneath it. When we provided this feedback to the management, he responded with "there is nothing that I can do about it".

My family was bitten by wasps on the veranda which clearly had not been cleaned in a long time and on complaining to management they were extremely rude and did not care less and just told us to leave if we didn't like it....would never stay they again
