Our room was exactly as expected , clean , comfortable and quiet. We had an excellent breakfast at the hotel and were within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and cafes. Parking just across the road was also very convenient.

Being visiting Goettingen for 20’years, the location, if going on a morning train is excellent…literately 5 min (timed it). Also close to city centre, so for a visit with kids a good option for affordable 2 rooms. BUT, this is not 4 stars, not 3 stars, might pull a 2,5 star. So if they sold, given the reasonably good price, it as what they were, the rating would be higher….but 4 stars is just dishonest.

The building is nice and conveniently located though a bit tricky to get to on foot, though easy once you know. More signage would help. The breakfast area is large and very pleasant with a terrace as well, and the breakfast is great, incl. hot foods. However, my room was at the front of the building, facing a large parking garage and a six-lane feeder street to the back of the train station, where pickups/taxis go all the time. The road is very noisy (alot of screeching tires and revving engines at the lights), and since there's no AC in the rooms, I had to have my window open when I arrived to cool it down a bit (though it was a hot, sticky day) and then at night (when it got much cooler luckily). With the window open it was like being under a deafening waterfall, though of traffic noise. I couldn't watch TV because I'd keep missing parts of the conversations from noise. It was impossible to keep the window open or closed. Probably a much nicer stay if one has a back room during cooler weather.

The hotel has no clear signs set up how to access parking at the hotel. As a consequence, we parked across the street in a parking garage only to discover the next day that the hotel has parking space if you pass a gate that apparently is open all the time which is not apparent from the road. It also is somewhat obscure why the hotel is charging for parking when the spots are not marked at all, and cars can enter the area as there are a cinema and other public venues (event center, museum) located as well as three restaurants, all of whom are not associated with the hotel. The interior of the hotel has the vibe of a youth hostel as far as I am concerned, and when I booked the hotel, its name was 'GHotel' which changed to 'Four Points Flex' in a matter of weeks (and listed 'Marriott' as the wifi access point provider) which just sounds weird. The wifi was virtually absent. we had very spotty internet access. If you come by train, the hotel is on convenient walking distance. Other than that, it has no distinguishable qualities from other hotels.

Leider einer der schlimmsten Übernachtungen in letzter Zeit. Ein 4-Sterne Hotel ohne Klimaanlage? Ja, das gibt es leider wirklich. Das wäre alles halb so schlimm gewesen, wenn direkt vor dem Fenster keine 6-Spurige Hauptverkehrsstraße wäre. Somit gab es keine Möglichkeit bei geöffnetem Fenster zu schlafen. Auf Nachfrage teilte Dame an der Rezeption mir mit, dass man zwar ruhigere Zimmer hätte, diese seien aber derzeit nicht verfügbar. Als ich danach zurück auf dem Zimmer auf der Website des hotels geschaut habe, wurden mir diese ruhigen Zimmer zur Buchung angezeigt. Die Kissen sind unfassbarbar dünn, so als ob man auf der Matratze liegen würde. Leider gab es auch im Schrank keine weiteren Kissen. Auch das ist für ein Mittelklassehotel nicht hinnehmbar. Bei der Rezeption konnte man sich leider nicht nach weiteren Kissen erkundigen, da es nicht einmal ein Telefon auf dem Zimmer gab. Den Weg zur Rezeption habe ich mir gespart. Morgens um 6 Uhr war ich dann hellwach, da die Vorgänge überhaupt nicht abdunkeln. Wirklich unfassbar für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, nichts besonderes. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum und an der Rezeption war freundlich. Das hilft mit bei einem guten Schlaf leider auch nicht. Die Sauberkeit im Bad ließ leider auch zu wünschen übrig.

Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und nett. Aber die Lobby als sich und die Außenansicht bilden kein 4 Sternhotel ab. Der Teppich in den Gängen sollte gründlich gereinigt werden. Für eine Nacht ok.

Værelset var koldt og der var ingen ekstra tæpper. Morgenmaden er meget standard og ikke pengene værd. Men værst var at ladestanderen ikke virkede. Personalet havde intet ansvar for den, men et eller andet std er det vel hotellets ansvar, at de er tilgængelige. Det er nærmest det eneste, vi booker hotel efter, og så er det lidt tarveligt at betale 17 euro for parkering - når laderen ikke virker.

Efter lidt besvær fandt jeg parkering bag hotellet. Ikke skiltet fra vejen. Men kun 10 min. Gang til gamle bydel, og meget stille - i hvert fald på mit værelse der lå væk fra vejen. Dog lidt lydt når folk kom og gik ude på gangen.

Das Hotel hat unter praktischen Gesichtspunkten eine sehr gute Lage, da der Bahnhof, die Innenstadt, die Autobahnanbindung und ein großes Parkhaus und Parkplatz in der Nähe sind. Fussläufig in 2 Minuten Entfernung befindet sich ein gutes Restaurant und ein großes Kinocenter. Wir haben auf der Seite des Hotels bei geöffneten Fenster übernachtet, die nicht zum Bahnhof zeigt und die war sehr ruhig. Die Betten waren bequem. Es gab Internet und Fernsehen und ein sauberes Bad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Bar kann man sich auch gemütlich aufs Sofa "fläzen" oder in Gruppen zusammensitzen. Frühstück haben wir nicht getestet. Der Kaffee von der Bar war zwar kein Filterkaffee, aber trotzdem lecker.
