I would have given a higher mark if there had been a breakfast available on site, I had to travel to a local cafe to buy a breakfast, which was a 10 minute walk away.

I was greeted in a friendly fashion at reception and given a room on the ground floor on requesting this. All was quite clean and a very comfortable bed. I will be back again when I am in Gloucester

Had a lovely stay, staff extremely friendly ans helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The surroundings are amazing beautiful countryside and there is a lovely outdoor seating area. Would definitely stay again.

Great Value Comfy Stay

Decent night sleep. You can switch off, watch a smart TV in a comfy bed. Has a kettle, bath etc. all you need for great value

Consistently good

Very welcoming, professional and helpful staff. Rooms are always clean with comfortable beds. Rooms are warm in the winter months not the case for some hotels. Lots of space and a good size desk area to work from.

The room was comfortable, but a bit tired. It was very easy to hear other people outside the door, particularly in the early hours. Fortunately I’m someone who wakes and go straight back to sleep. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. There were a number of dining options on site and locally. I thought the accommodation was good value for money and I will stay there again.

Business trip stay

We got a nice friendly welcome which is always a good start to a stay. There was a little bit of confusion about length of our stay butbwas cleared straight away. We was given room 1 which was nice and easy situated between the bar and reception. Overall cleanliness was 10/10 throughout the hotel where we walked around. There was no restaurant as such but a catering van which was nice food just needed to be hotter. The only faults we found was curtains needed to be longer, the shower rail holders needed replacing and the entrance to car park needed more lighting.

Travelling as disabled, I was surprised to find a step without a railing out of reception with no ramp offered. What bright spark approved the plans to put all the walk in accessible bathr ooms on the first floor with no lift.? I would like a reply to this point. It's not too late to make some of the ground floor bathrooms properly adapted.

This place was lovely, so quiet considering it's next to a high speed road. The tipple bar and the food truck is great, lovely garden area, lush in the sun. The only downside for me was the beds were really hard, I'd rather have a softer bed, due to back issues, but that's my preference so not removing a star or anything. The staff were friendly, said hi when we walked in, have a good day when we went out. Housekeeping came round while we were in the room one afternoon, told them we were fine and they asked if we were sure. Went out on the Saturday morning, was out all day, left my case and stuff on the bed unmade, when we got back they had made the bed and put the case and other bits back on it. Only thing I changed myself was the toilet roll was hanging the wrong way round haha. Well done guys and girls, you should be proud of yourselves and what you've made this hotel!!
