⭐⭐⭐⭐4.5/5 Stars – A Beautiful Place to Slow Down
After a 12-day high-energy road trip, we specifically chose Atlantis Oceanfront Inn because we wanted a peaceful place to rest and recharge. It was exactly what we needed.
My first recommendation is to arrive during daylight hours if possible. The property and coastline are gorgeous, and it helps you get oriented in Gloucester before dark. Once we settled in, we fell in love with the location.
The oceanfront balcony was the star of the stay. Every morning we woke up to beautiful views of rocky coastline, soft waves, colorful flowers, and lighthouses in the distance. The lawn and landscaping are beautifully maintained. The balconies are not private—think cruise ship style—but the views more than make up for it.
The room was very clean and comfortable. It isn't a luxury hotel, but it has clearly been refreshed with updated windows, doors, blinds, curtains, furniture, carpet, and linens. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day.
The pool area was another pleasant surprise. The deck and pool surface appear recently renovated, and the blue-and-white lounge chairs give the space an elegant coastal feel.
We also loved the café. Breakfast became part of our daily routine. The staff were consistently friendly, portions were generous, and the grilled muffins were absolutely worth ordering. Fresh fruit plates were also available, but there is no liquor license, no outdoor seating, and they do not stay open late.
