“The room was set up in a bizarre way with a large number of lights in the internal stair being permanently on throughout the night. I presume this was because of safety as the stair, while only 1 step, was 10m wide. This meant the room was lit up like a Xmas tree. It explains why eye masks were provided but here we are in the rainforest and the room is lit. Very annoying.”

“I stayed in a cottage in Shambala Estate on a relaxed drive up to Cairns from Melbourne with my two dogs. It was simply beautiful. When I opened the door it smelt great, there was soft music playing and it looked gorgeous. My stay was relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful and clean room. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend.”
