Great equine estate. Riding instructors were excellent. Our lodge room was very nice. Service at hotel desk and in O’Connors Bar was below what we expected as staff seemed rushed/indifferent at times.
Beautiful place. Accommodation was delightful, staff were welcoming and willing to help when needed. Location was breathtaking. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely hotel with professional polite and caring staff Christmas decorations throughout the hotel added extra atmosphere to our stay and we will definitely visit again
Enjoyed a meet up with two other couples at the lodge, stayed for 2 nights. Bedrooms lovely and beds very comfortable, but rooms were very warm and couldn’t get heating turned down despite asking reception. Eat in the bar the first night which we all found disappointing but enjoyed the restaurant the next night. We went for spa treatments which were lovely. Roma gave me a hot stone massage which is the best one I’ve had in years. Grounds lovely for anyone wanting to get their step count up. We went to the castle for coffee and it was beautifully decorated for Xmas, no decorations at all in the lodge. Lovely relaxing break overall.
A delightful former family mansion complex in a quiet and attractive village in County Monaghan.
The good sized bedroom was a little dark due to limited lighting. However, it was well furnished with a very comfortable super-king sized bed.
Plenty of hot water, a bath and separate 'wet room' type shower facility.
Seating in the bar area was somewhat basic, though there was a more comfortable sitting area outside the entrance to the conservatory.
Food was of a high standard throughout our stay and overall service was very good.
Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food! Very happy with the services and cleanliness. Beautiful surroundings and great walks to be enjoyed!
Our room was fab. The grounds were beautiful. And the staff were very helpful.

Sadly let down
I stayed before with friends and was looking forward to my return. Check-in was fine. Room looked lovely. Then I noticed bin was full, including used masks. The noise was awful with the interconnecting door meaning I heard every word of a loud argument between couple next door. Dinner was nice but was left a while before being shown to my table even though I had booked. Breakfast was very slow - got coffee 15 mins after ordering it. I don't think I'd come back. On the plus side, I enjoyed a beautiful walk in the grounds and parking was easy.
Beautiful hotel grounds. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the hotel but Caroline in reception was outstanding in her role and assisted us with an extra fan for the room. So thoughtful. Also, Cassie was superb in serving us in Snaffles restaurant. She was very pleasant, attentive, mannerly and efficient in her job. These two members of staff reflect a 5 star service at Castle Leslie. They need a special mention in how they fulfil their roles plus thanked for their kindness to guests. Their attention to the little extras really mean so much post lockdown. Our sincere thanks to them.
Room was large, fresh and clean. Some very nice stylistic touches in keeping with the estate.
Staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient.
Food was top quality.
Castle Leslie lodge and castle are set in beautiful surroundings. The lodge hotel is very comfortable and the staff where fantastic.. Everything was excellent - room was superb.. Dinner and breakfast in snaffles so tasty.. Lucking forward to coming back here for another night or two of luxury..
Beautiful hotel, amazing service and gorgeous clean and comfortable rooms. We ate in the bar and the food was okay, nothing special but the atmosphere and beauty of the estate more than made up for it. The Victorian treatment rooms are well worth booking, relaxing therapies and a hot tub overlooking the stables. Highly recommend.
