Location is good, but slightly away from the central retail area. Walking to restaurants etc was easy enough. A surprise/disappointment was that there was no fridge in the room. Staff were helpful and came to the room for different requests.

First class hotel in all aspects. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious. All staff were so helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable and blackout curtains that actually worked. A nice touch was two lights remained on but very dim thus enabling anyone requiring to get up during the night the ability to see without disturbing partner. All in all and excellent and I will definitely stay again A touch of class in this hotel.

I expected better for the price paid. The room had no fridge, no drawers or cupboards. Just a rail to hang clothes. The car con controls didn’t work - on complaining, we learned the staff could set it from reception but we had to ask every time we needed it adjusting. The safe wasn’t working either. At breakfast the staff were polite but slap dash. Items missing from the table both days. Toast not offered, on first morning. The cooked breakfast was good. The hotel is decor has an “evening vibe,” which means it was the darkest hotel, I’ve ever been in, by a very long way. The walls are a very dark (almost black), colour, few lights, black Venetian blinds, black doors.
