Great place!

The room is terrible

It was a scary place! There was a closed door in the lobby that led to the stairs. It wasn't an actual door more like a painted piece of plywood. They still had make shift plexiglass with a wood frame that was left over from covid and was falling apart. The attendant was either hard of hearing or had trouble understanding English. The bathroom appeared clean but a handle in the shower was broke and the sink needed replacing. The carpet in the halls and in the room was filthy. The room had an old fashion chair, a rolling desk chair, at the desk and a folding lawn chair. The sheets appeared clean however 1 had a stain.

We loved our experience at The Sierra! Extremely clean and cozy. Excellent aesthetics. We can't wait to return and take the bikes for a spin.

The new owners are trying very hard to please the customers. It is probably the best full-service hotel lodging option in Frankfort, with an excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinners. It is a short walk to the beach and lighthouses and a great jumping off point for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore to the north and Arcadia Dunes to the south.

It was weird they didn't offer complimentary coffee. They had a coffee shop but either a long line or no staff showed up for the day. For the price we paid, it wasn't very conducive to coffee people. I had to drive to McDonald's every day for coffee. Thank you
