Safe, clean, convenient central location. I requested a quiet room which they gave me, and it was a nice peaceful night's sleep. You can hear guests through the door and heavy door slams but luckily none of that happened at night. Really nice helpful staff. I'll stay here again.

Nice hotel with large rooms in a very convenient location. Working A/C during fall is a plus. Even when located at the center of hotels and restaurants, it’s very quiet to sleep. Would stay there again any time.

An older classic style property but in excellent condition. In the heart of the new old city. Friendly front desk and staff, very helpful. Well kept property. For moving on foot to shops, restaurants and waterfront a great location.

We did not know that the least expensive hotel in our trip to Spain would be our favorite. Our room was a suite, and the entire hotel has been updated to modern standards. Each staff member we met was so kind and helpful. The location is also fantastic. I could not recommend the Hernan Cortes Hotel more highly.

This hotel is the best in Gijón. Although an old property it is very well maintained with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms have AC which is a plus in Europe and difficult to find operationally. We often go to Gijón and after many failed attempts, we found this centric beautiful place! Great job.
