“The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad. ”

“The setting of the hotel is superb – nice beach (the water has great mineral quality to it), different walks at the door step (Congo-Nile trail or lakeside paths, coffee washing station nearby is great to visit). The food is excellent (from the local vegetable and fruit garden) and rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The downsides are 11 km of dirt track in poor condition (allow extra 10-15 min relative to google maps estimate) and rooms can be too warm at night (24C at night, no aircon) ”

“Die Zimmer/Häuser sind riesig, auch Familien haben mehr als genug Platz. Highlight ist die Außendusche, vor allem und gerade auch bei schlechterem Wetter. Der Blick über den See, herrlich. Toll fanden wir auch, dass man das Essen an einer langen Tafel einnimmt und so Menschen aus aller Welt kennenlernt. “The staff are wonderful, both kind and efficient. The reception were helpful and made one feel so welcome on arrival. Getting there at night can be tricky as google maps is wrong while there are few signposts showing the way. The setting is fantastic and what a tranquil and relaxing place! Great place to see Nyungwe forest from.”
