“A very quirky cottage with a great many stairs. There are some things the owner needs to attend to, curtains coming off poles, blind in bedroom not opening properly and the bath needs resealing, it is rather off putting. All the chrome in the property is rusting bathroom fittings and peddle bins.”

“Although the building could do with a little tlc in places, our room was large, clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and bar food really good too. The bar area is fairly small and well used by locals but we did find a table both nights we were there. The biggest plus for us were the staff who are efficient and friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area. It’s in a quiet area but there are plenty of walks and an ideal base for exploring other towns and sites.”

“Everything was fine really. Just the carpets were very old and stained. Great breakfast and dinner was nice. Beds need a little upgrade.”

“I didn't realise this was on a holiday park so maybe my bad there. I was picturing country pub. Lots of noise outside. Then an alarm went off at 3am for ages. The restaurant food wasn't great for the money... But great breakfast and lovely pool.”

“Fabulous pub. Super modern clean room outside the main pub. Food delicious at dinner and breakfast and simply lovely staff! What a location just across from the station and in the middle of the 3 peaks. Outstanding!”
