Needs some improvements
It was a decent enough hotel for a one-night stay. Hotel clerk was a very nice guy and personable. Sheets were kind of thin and carpet was a little warped in two places. But not bad for a one night stay. Also didn't realize we'd be next to an Adult Store facility.
This hotel is filthy and disgusting! Do not stay here! No one is ever at the front desk, ice machine is always broken, heater in room didnt work, the manager stayed in a room on the bottom floor filled with dogs and cats that made the entire hotel stink. Pet hair was everywhere (towels, sheets, etc) and when we came in from slopes our room key had been deactivated and things were missing from our room (food and mini bottles). VERY POOR management as this one man and his son run the entire hotel by theirselves! The only reason we stayed and endured the two nights we had reserved was because we probably would have had to kick his "you know what" to get our money back!!! He was rude and creepy! All of this is so sad b/c this is the only hotel off the Winterplace exit! If you plan to come ski at winterplace and cant afford to rent slopeside houses then it is well worth your money and time to stay 30 minutes away in Princeton, WV
We stayed here just for a night to sleep but it was so uncomfortable. Rooms are very dirty, even the bed sheets, carpet. We stayed here on New Years Eve and were expecting the hotel to be busy but apparently it turned out that it was only us in the entire hotel which was little creepy too. The hotel is located in some isolated area and it was difficult for us to find the hotel at night. Do not stay in this hotel unless you have no other choice! I was expecting the hotel to be little better with the price but it was worse.
A bit grungy but ok for what we paid. A bit tricky

Friendly Staff
Very friendly front staff. Stayed there 2 nights on a ski trip. There is a subway in town but not much else. The inn looks bad from the outside but it was on par with any other budget hotel inside. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms. I would easily stay there again.
It was horrible. First two rooms they took us to were dirty. The room we stayed in was completely filled with bed bugs woke up in the middle of the night covered in bug bites and bugs it is been an ongoing problem since the Health Board and is trying to close the hotel do not stay here I repeat you will be very upset if you do don't take anything in the hotel if you want to take it home cuz you will take bed bugs home with you
Probably the worst hotel ever stayed in. Mattresses were old and very lumpy, carpets were dirty, tv didn't work, drain in shower didn't work. It was pretty disgusting. However the staff was very friendly and informative.

One chance to make a good first impression.
Okay for a stopover but a long way from anywhere except for the adult Superstore across what could loosely be termed a parking lot (more like a gravel pit). Large room and inexpensive but too far to travel to get more than pizza for dinner.

fun night
We were in Ghent for a get together and needed a room. Yes it has a dirt parking lot you have to drive through to get to the inn itself but that's not the fault of the inn. They don't own that property. Yes they could use some updates but the staff was very nice, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and for a one night stay that's not in a city, I had a great experience. And if your a couple who want to get a little naughty stop in at the adult store that is there on the property. We have been there before and it's an awesome place to look around and buy some stuff

It is what it is.
No road. Must drive through large parking lot filled with semis to get to hotel, lots of potholes. Nothing immediately near except for a "Lion's Den" adult store. Can't expect much for $40. I slept well, room is mediocre. No special service.
I just needed a place to sleep from 10 pm-6:30 am, and something to eat in the morning. It met my requirements. The staff was very nice. I don't think the hotel has ever been updated and it shows. The hotel doesnt have a light at it's driveway and it sits behind the Lions Den. If you or your family is remotely picky, this is not where you want to stay.
I read some of the reviews before staying here and was a bit concerned because of some of the negatively. Once I got to the Knights Inn I was pleasantly surprised and found it to be quite nice. I was clean, comfortable, convenient to the highway, the staff once helpful, and it was a great bargain. It was all you'd want for a enjoyable overnight stay.
My experience was awful, there's only one attendant and he got frustrated when my daughter asked for help. The beds were lumpy, I didn't get a good night's sleep. The bar in the shower fell off. And the breakfast was mini bagels and sunny D....It just was a horrible experience and I could not wait to leave.

Decent for two guys on a road trip.
We stayed here for the PITT vs. VT game. This is not a family friendly place as it is adjacent to a adult store and it seems like truckers use the parking lot for some extracurricular activities. That said, the room was clean, and we slept well. It was fine for two guys on a road trip that wanted a cheap place to sleep. I wouldn't take a family or a significant other here though.
The area is very bad and not safe. You have to drive through an abandoned gravel lot to get to the hotel and past a shady adult novelty store which is next to the hotel. The loby smells bad which should have been the first sign to leave. The room is very old old and not clean, the king bed was held up by two other beds pushed together, the sheets were not clean and had cigarette holes in them (in the non-smoking room). The carpet was covered in stains and what looked to be mold. We left after checking in and seeing the room, but Patel at the front desk refused a refund for the room. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else, anyway else.
