We expected tiny rooms and no facilities but were welcomed to a smallish but adequate room with everything we needed except maybe a kettle. The bar was good, the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of seating in nice areas. There was a tiny shop with snacks and even a few microwave meals, and a microwave provided in the lobby. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and answered loads of our questions. Everywhere was fresh and clean. It's about 20 minutes walk from the centre, a bit far for our elderly legs, but there are convenient buses and trains nearby. All in all, it's somewhere we would go back to, and will certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

With Ibis Budget Hotels you always kind of get what you pay for. The room was small but tidy and the beds werent too bad. The receptionists were all very friendly and the checkin was fast and the checkout even faster and unproblematic. For the location and price it was all that I needed. The hotel was immaculately clean and all the staff were kind and very helpful to all. The only negative (which is more personal) is breakfast was so busy. So I would advise getting up early to eat. Breakfast between 9-10 was too busy for the space. The staff worked exceptionally hard to maintain food was readily available though!

We made self-check in easily using machine at the reception, without queuing. Rooms were excellent, small but clean and functional, sockets near the bed, bathroom was big enough (larger than in most Ibis budget hotels), cleaned daily, great bedding and lighting in the room. Staff (whenever needed) was friendly and smiling. there was restaurant working near reception area. we did not have breakfast but it was looking really full. 5 min walk to the Gent Dampoort station and 15-20 min to the city historical center. Overall, we are really happy with our stay.
