Great place to stay. Loved how walkable it was into the main area but wasn’t right there so it was quiet at night. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay, if you want to stay in the historic part of Gettysburg. The hospitality of the staff and the charm of the rooms is lovely. I would definitely come back here again!

Great location and great breakfast! The Inn is located near so many amazing local shops and many historic locations that it's hard to decide what to do during your stay. The room was very clean and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and the staff who served it were so kind and knowledgeable about the local area. We stayed for 2 nights and we can't wait to go back!

Delightful stay. Wonderful informative staff. Room was clean and tasteful. There was a lovely complimentary evening champagne and meet and greet. Breakfast was superb.

I was traveling alone and stayed in the Virginia Room. It was very clean, cozy, quiet, and nicely decorated. Sam was friendly and very helpful. I couldn’t make the socials but it was nice to know that there’s an option to get to know other guests. They have a very nice patio area to sit and have coffee and it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

The house was quiet (a good thing) and the bed was comfortable. Parking, once we found it, was plentiful. The house/room was older and not as comfortable as I would have wanted. Not sure I would stay again.

Lovely place for a special occasion

My husband and I had a lovely stay at The Brickhouse Inn for our 19th wedding anniversary. The entire staff was very accomadating and the food was delicious. We had the romance package and Chayna wrote a special note we will treasure. Our one issue was that The Virginia room was too small for us. We knew it was the smallest room at the inn, but it is better suited for one person than for two. If we go back, we would upgrade to a larger room. It was conveniently located and it was an easy walk to most spots we wanted to go. We had fun on the ghost walk tour we booked through the inn. Sam (our guide) was a hoot. He was also a great host for the champagne social hours each evening. All in all, The Brickhouse Inn was a lovely place for our special occasion. We would recommend to others.

Seedy for any price

Bed linens were aged and terribly faded. Pillows were heavy rocks. Curtains were shabby. The rug in my room was burgundy and visibly soiled even though dark. A single bath-shampoo-conditioner combo attached to the shower stall. Uncurated, un-themed antique decor picked from thrift. Tired, tired woodwork in my room, not sanded before the last coat of paint. Breakfast not included. Utility areas always on view.

I loved the history of the buildings & Gettysburg in general. The room was clean & decorated very historically & nicely. The staff was friendly. I've stayed at B&B's before. When I book a bed & breakfast, I expect a bed & breakfast. Not a bed with bfast costing $18.00 extra. The B&B is in two different buildings, that's cool. But if you stay in the Welty house you have to litterly walk next door to access refrig or microwave. TV is in a bad spot. Worst of all is the parking. The walk from the house to the parking lot is up a very steep hill. Not good for old folks or those with handicap issues. My wife is handicap & did fall walking down the steep hill. Nope Brickhouse Inn, we will not be staying there again. Hope this was helpful.

We loved the history of the house itself as well as the section of the town it is located in. The manager was very informative about the history of the house, which we found interesting. Staff in general were knowledgeable about places to visit beyond the battle grounds, dinning options and some specifics about touring the National Park. Breakfast (at additional cost) was delicius
