The room itself was clean, but could use updating. I am a handicap person and the bathroom set up was hard to maneuver even in an accessible room. Breakfast was cold and not edible, but it was free. The location is great and I would recommend if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Our stay was great from check-in to check out. The building is older but very well maintained and clean. We traveled with our small dog and have to say that they have a very reasonable pet fee of $25. Plenty of grassy areas for pet relief with friendly signs reminding people to clean up after their pets. The location is ideal as it is in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and historical sites. The breakfast spread was a great variety and the breakfast crew kept the food stocked, fresh, and area clean. Our room was very clean and well maintained. While there is no microwave in the room, there is one available in the hotel lobby for use. Maybe not as many modern frills as some chains, but we found this hotel to be an excellent choice and even joined their loyalty program.

Location, location, location! Older hotel that is currently under construction for improvements. Also the boiler has gone out and there was a machine that ran all night. The hotel rooms are on the outside of the building but this was not an issue for us. Just the noise of the machine was irritating. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast buffet is served. I would stay here again when all construction is completed. Many restaurants and shopping are within walking distance.
