Decent place to stay if in Idaho Springs. We like staying here when we are in Idaho Springs. We like the river running next to the hotel. Like to watch the rafters go by from the balcony.
My wife and I from Chicago, IL stayed for 3 nights here and had wonderful memories. The staff especially the owner was so kind and helpful for visitors introducing good spots for touring. It was surrounded by mountains with creek right behind this motel and there were a couple of tables to relax outside of the room to enjoy real nature. Argo gold mill and tunnel, and the cable car for the top of mountain were only 5 to 10 minutes from this motel on foot. I definitely come here again to enjoy different season’s scenery.
This was such a pleasant experience!! The room was spotless!! Sliding glass door that opened up to the river. It had an outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the view.
Argo Inn and Suites is easy to find. I have stayed here several times, and both times my rooms have been clean.
I don’t know why, but if you’re staying more than one night, your key card won’t work the next day. Just take it into the office and they will re-program it. Also, the Wi-Fi is not good, it cuts out often. Other than that, it’s really nice to have the river behind you, and there’s several sitting places to enjoy it. It’s quiet and the people are friendly.
The property was nice for a quick overnight stay enroute to Moab. Owner was very nice and accommodating at check in.

Family friendly & the owners & staff were helpful. Beds were comfortable & AC was welcome. The exterior of the property needs paint & some repair. We enjoyed the location.
Love a well run local owned property. Sure there are always unique characteristics and querks but that’s the fun of travel and adventure. You can’t beat a mountain stream flowing right off your balcony in the Rocky Mountains. Very short drive into Idaho Springs downtown bars and shops. Easy on snd off the interstate.

This hotel is about 20 years past it's prime and in need of a renovation. Don't expect the latest here. That being said, it was a good place to spend a few nights. Easy access off I-70, good food within easy walking distance. The rooms were clean, if in need of an update, and the place was comfortable and safe. We had a river front balcony and that was a great way to spend a few hours.
The room appeared recently updated and the beds were comfortable. However, the floor was VERY sandy and the shower head was about 5’4 high which made showering very difficult for anyone taller than 5’4.
Additionally, we paid for a river view room and room 129 does NOT have a river view. It has a patio view and you can walk around 3 rooms to get to the river view. I was thoroughly disappointed by this as we LOVE this property and watching the river.

Great location in town, lovely river right outside balcony
This location is close to downtown. Offered a shower and separated tub. Comfortable bed and in walking distance to shopping for longer stays.

We were very happy with our stay here. The room looked brand new and was probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in that wasn't $300/night. I really appreciated the easy river access and the refrigerator w/ a little freezer. Beds were clean, the room did not ever feel humid and uncomfortable.
The only thing that would have improved our stay would be a grill - there was not a grill available for use.

Upon opening the door to our room you could see footprints on the floor. The floor apparently wasn’t swept before we got there as it felt dirty when walking across it barefoot. Beds were very good though. When checking in you didn’t feel very welcome.
