The hotel has a wonderful antique feeling to it from the entrance, the main areas, and the rooms. The single and the duplex rooms were equally spacious which was very appreciated. The staff is also 24/7 and so helpful when checking in and out. There was also complimentary tea time from 2-5 each day my family was there.

The hotel is beautifully decorated in Pinang Peranakan style architecture, clean and the room was spacious with a ceiling fan as well as air con. Staff were friendly throughout. It is situated about a 10min walk from Hin Bus Depot and just round the corner from Lebuh Kimberley a busy and bustling food street.

It’s one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed at. It reminds us the colonial era yet the facilities are modern. The staff are friendly and always available to help. There are lots of food choices within a 5-10 walk from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Areca, we had a room on the ground floor and it was sheer luxury, spacious, beautiful tiles on the floor, high ceiling, lovely period furniture, fans and air conditioner and a shower that was truly magnificent. I felt like I walked onto a movie set back in the 20’s. The hotel kept the room setting from the early 1900’s. It is beautiful and relaxing! Everything was excellent. The only down side was the pillows.

Amazing hotel, would recommend. You get breakfast and a cute afternoon tea included. Rooms have an ac and a fan. Amazing breakfast choices and on the weekend a buffet breakfast. Laundry service available too. The guy who does breakfast (I can’t remember his name fully but it begins with a Y) is amazing.
